Cate Campbell and Gillian Scott are both creative mothers of two who have a shared fascination of pregnancy and birth.

Gillian has a background as a child-birth educator and Cate was an English and Drama teacher before she began Precious Puku Belly-Casting.

The pair started making belly-casts for pregnant women in their Devonport studio five years ago. They found most women chose to have a professional belly-casting as they wanted the end cast to looking stunning – not like a school project. And so the idea to create a kit that enabled even the most artistically-challenged woman to create a professional-looking cast was ‘born’.

They have been selling DIY kits for the past three years and added specialist Breast-Casting kits (for women with breast cancer) and Kiddy-Casting Kits to their products two years ago.

The picture shows Cate and Gillian at a Breast Cancer Support Fundraiser they organised in 2010. They are proud to have raised over $1,300 for Breast Cancer Support on the night.
